Piano Recitalist

A Classical pianist at heart, I take great pleasure in sharing my music with audiences, and like to feel that I can bring Classical piano music to the non-specialist music lover, using informal explanations to provide a little background to my music. My performances have included works by Bach, Mozart, Schumann, Schubert, Poulenc and Debussy.

On a regular basis, I enjoy playing informally as a pianist at National Trust properties and other stately homes, often performing to visitors’ requests.

Whether it is a Vintage Tea Party in the conservatory or an informal family soiree, I enjoy providing a suitable atmosphere to match the style and setting you desire for the occasion, from light classical to popular piano pieces.

Piano Accompanist

Over the years, I have enjoyed accompanying instrumentalists, vocalists and small ensembles for concerts, weddings and other events; I have also been pianist to local operatic societies and am frequently called on to accompany instrumentalists for exams. I pride myself on being a versatile and sensitive pianist.

For many years I was piano accompanist for the Wisbech based mixed voice choir, the Clarkson Singers, until I become their Director of Music in 2012, at the request of Bruce Wegg, former Director of Music who retired from the position through ill-health. This is a mixed voice choir of about 40 singers, varying in ages and musical abilities, who meet weekly to practise for performances locally throughout the year. Their repertoire include songs from the musicals, madrigals, folk, sacred, light popular and classical songs.
